Meet the Donkeys Behind the Designs
Lilly — Not stubborn. Just not convinced.
Lilly came to PrimRose at just two weeks old and grew up alongside her donkey friends. When it was time to choose the face of our most stubborn design, Lilly’s name came up immediately. That side eye says the rest.
Carl — Where every ass gets a second chance.
Carl arrived at PrimRose in 2016 after experiencing abuse. With patience and a safe place to call home, he’s blossomed. He loves the other animals and is gradually learning to trust people, too. Carl is the heart behind our second chance design.
Joey — In Memoriam
After being badly mistreated, Joey slowly learned to trust again. He became a loving donkey who was always ready with a hug on a hard day. Our “Leave your worries at the gate” design is a tribute to his big heart.
Petey — The Painted Donkey
Petey has been the face of Painted Donkey for many years. He’s become a familiar favourite, and people ask about him all the time. Now you can bring him home on a shirt or hoodie while supporting PrimRose Donkey Sanctuary.
